Think you know how to do it?
Try this simple test:
sit or stand wherever you are and take a deep breath,
then let it out. What expanded more as you inhaled,
your chest or your belly?
........
If the answer is your chest, you're like most people
and you're doing it wrong.
Take another deep breathe----
now what you notice?
breathe like a baby, can't you see their stomack is expanding
Yah.....
Deep abdominal breathing or belly breathing, helps establish
a state of physiological calm and can neutralize the negative effect
of stress.
Now try it!

While this some schools of thought suggest that this type of breathing claim that it can help negate stress and help one achieve a state of calm and it may well indeed be true, if done for limited periods of time,
I must state that it is NOT considered normal. In fact, this is called paroxysmal breathing - the polar opposite of normal...
I do not dispute its possible beneficial effects, its just that please don't try to consciously do it all the time.
